Ready for Christmas?!

I am!! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and it's coming up soon. I'm trying hard to decide what fabrics to buy to use for a Christmas line. I need to order w/in the next week or so. So.. do you prefer fabrics that are VERY Christmasy (Santas, snowmen, Xmas trees, ornaments, etc), just Christmas colors (reds, greens, blues, whites.. maybe floral or damask prints, stripes?) OR prints that aren't Christmasy, but rather Winter-ish? Help me decide! :)

These are both such gorgeous prints and I can't wait for them to get here! I'll for sure be doing a peasant dress and peasant top with the High Society prints, as well as Ruffle Pants and a skirt.. probably with some ruffles or something too. As for the Meadowsweet, I'll be doing Ruffle Pants, a jumper type dress, a tunic and possibly even a jacket with some black corduroy! It's really ridiculous how excited I am just to get in fabric. Getting the mail each day is high on my priority list these days.

We're having cloudy and rainy weather here in Southern California, all week long... which really inspires me to be creative. I LOVE gloomy, rainy weather like this. Velour will definitely be making an appearance around here soon as well. :)

First Fall Line.. Finally!

I have been SO incredibly busy, which is a good thing.. except that I haven't been able to sit down and post on here. So, I was finally able to start and finish the first Fall Line. It ended up being VERY small, as I'd expected. But the colors are gorgeous and seem to have been well accepted. I will ONLY be making skirts,ruffle pants and flower (fabric) hair clips & pins for this line. There is way too much that I plan to do with the next 2 lines and I just don't have the time to do it all! Here are a few pictures.
