InstaFriday: A Week of Celebrating

Linking up with Jeannett from Life.Rearranged for InstaFriday. If you use your cell phone to take pics, you should link up! It's a great way to document your week, and fun .

Friday morning here started off with some celebrating, for the birthday girl!

After some unwrapping, we headed to Disneyland for the day.

This week I spent some time at my sweet friend Meagan's house helping her clean-out & reorganize her crafting room. We enjoyed some adult drinks & yummy cheesecake together too. You should check out her blog, Fairly Fabulous! She's adorable & so funny.

Big milestone this week in our house... Brookelyn not only turned 8, but she also started the 3rd grade. That's not it... Cohen (my sweet tiny little baby) started pre-school. Rough day for mama, but it was also a little bit fun to enjoy a few hours to myself!

While the kids were off at school, mama got to do some thrifting! My milk glass collection is getting rather large, but I can't resist. Too pretty!

In this house we thrive on a schedule. Being back to school was SO nice because we got our schedule back! I accomplished so much this week, especially today... see that red tin? I've had that (plus another one still put away) in a closet for FIVE years & no idea what to do with it. Today, I gave it a little color and hung it up to hold our chalk! And, I did my best to replicate a sweet little Mary Engelbreit picture on our chalkboard. Tomorrow, I want to add an inspirational quote or verse.. any suggestions?

Hope you've all had a lovely week. I know we have! Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks everyone.

I didn't buy the chalkboard, it's the door in our kitchen that leads to the garage. We sanded it down and painted it with chalkboard paint.
