I feel like maybe it's safe to say, I'm back. The past 2 weeks have been crazy for our family. Last week both kids were REALLY sick. I was at the doctors office with both of them for at least 4 hours EVERY day last week (except for Friday, only 1 hour!). Our pediatrician is awesome and was doing all she could to keep from having to admit Cohen to the hospital with his pneumonia. The kids each got breathing treatments and oxygen while we were at her office. Luckily, each time she did this it helped enough that we could go home, sleep in our own beds in our own house... rather than a hospital room. For that, we were extremely thankful, even if it did mean that we'd have to get up the next day and go into her office again for a few hours. Yes, it was a VERY long week and I got NO sewing done. As much as I wanted to come home and sew, I was so tired by the time the kids went to bed that I needed to rest.
...and apparently I didn't rest enough, because Saturday morning I woke up sick. We had to cancel our trip to Disneyland and it's a good thing we did because I just kept getting worse and worse. Sunday morning, I woke up feeling worse and Monday.. same thing. I did have about an hour on Monday morning where I felt good, started sewing and then BAM... I was down again. By that night I was kind of worried, because it really was VERY hard to breathe! Tuesday the in laws took care of getting Brookelyn to and from school and caring for Cohen and in the afternoon Matt took me to my doctor. She said if I'd come in Wed morning she probably would have had to admit me to the hospital, because I sounded that bad. Luckily though, after 2 shots of meds, breathing treatments, antibiotics and a VERY eventful office visit (see.. embarrassing!) I came home, slept and woke up Wednesday morning feeling quite a bit better. I took the day to really recooperate and am feeling much better today. Thank goodness. So, the sewing will go a bit slow.. but it's starting. I have some deadlines that I HAVE to meet, so I've got to get on it. Hopefully, my hands will not be too shakey from the albuterol.. it's kinda hard to type! haha.
