Wishing for Wednesday

Summer is coming so quickly, I can't even believe it. It gets so hot here in the summer, so we end up spending a lot of time either in the house or in my moms pool! Thanks to pinterest.com (again) I've found some really cute things to do with the kids this summer. I'm still searching because I plan to fill our days up with fun. These are the things I'm "Wishing for Wednesday"'s this summer!

I'm starting off with this 30 Days of Summer Fun Calendar. I think we'll do this at the beginning of June, July and August. So cute and fairly easy, plus you can make it your own way to suit your family.

How much FUN is this?? I can not wait to do this with the kids. Just freeze some ice cubes with some coloring in them. I'll be using fruit juice probably. Give them some paper and let them paint as the ice melts. PERFECT idea for our crazy hot days!

This one might be something that I'll do while the kids are entertained with one of their other projects. The bright colors and little drink umbrellas are absolutely adorable for summer! (I can't find a link to this actual project post, so if you happen to know where it's from, please let me know!)

Brookelyn would LOVE to make these. We'll do these on a day when she has friends over I think, since Cohen wouldn't really be able to participate.

Bubble Painting! My kids love bubbles & they absolutely love to paint, great combo!

We'll definitely be making this jewelry organizer, but with our own spin on it. We'll be using chicken wire instead of twigs. Brookelyn and I will each make one. So sweet for our jewelry!

So, those are a few of the things I'm "Wishing for Wednesday" on this Wednesday! Wishing to do them with my kids that is. ;)

Also, I couldn't post without acknowledging all of the victims of the horrible storms lately in Missouri and Oklahoma. Please keep them all in your positive thoughts, prayers, whatever it is that you do!! I can't even imagine the devastation they're dealing with and am thinking about them always. XOXO

Bubblewrapp'd

Last week I won a giveaway over at my friend Chrissy's blog Hoot Designs
Today, I'm reviewing and sharing with you what I won.

This is what I won! An adorable set of wooden plaques from Bubblewrapp'd! I actually won a $15 credit to the shop, and this is what I chose to spend it on. Andrea, the owner of Bubblewrapp'd is super sweet and so creative. She has some adorable little plaques in her shop and something for everyone, or for every room in your home.

My plaques have a new home on my fireplace mantle. I happen to think they look great next to my milk glass and the picture of my sweet babies. I wish I'd taken a picture of the packaging that Andrea's plaques came in. It was gorgeous, but I was too excited to tear into it and completely forgot to snap a couple of pics! Each plaque was wrapped (PERFECTLY) in tissue paper, then they were all wrapped together in bubble wrap and tied with some black tulle & twine with a Bubblewrapp'd tag. Such pretty packaging! I always know that if the package is pretty, whats inside will be even more beautiful and I was right.

Did I mention the prices? Andrea's prices are super cheap and make it that much more tempting to grab a few things! Here are a couple more of her pieces that I'm dying to buy!

For Brookelyn's room... so sweet!
You Are So Loved. Home Decor.

For Cohen's room... because he'll always be my little man.
Hello Little Love. Home Decor.

And this one for our bedroom...
And I Know I'm Never Letting This Go. Home Decor.

A few more...
Custom Order Reserved for Stacy. The Herb Collection. Home Decor. Love Like Crazy. Home Decor. School Will Start Again. A Reminder For Summer Vacation. Just Keep Swimming. Home Decor. Be Kind. Home Decor.

Fighting For a Cure... For Kinley

Today Matt & I took the kids to something we've never experienced before and I'm SO thankful that we went. Today we watched our friends Armando, James and Beckie get their heads shaved. No big deal, right? Wrong. Beckie & James' 11 yr old daughter Kinley is fighting cancer (ALL-leukemia).. She is WHY they shaved their heads. Because Kinley and every other little girl, boy, lady & man out there fighting some form of cancer need a CURE to be found.

So, today we met up with James, Beckie, Kinley & Tiernan as well as our friends Armando, Teri and their 4 boys to watch the 3 get their heads shaved as well as many other men (and a few more women). St. Baldrick's Foundation is amazing in helping to raise money to help find a cure.

Beckie is an amazing mommy and so brave! I'm so proud to call her my friend. Not many women would shave their heads.. I can't even honestly say that I would. But, Beckie did and she looks amazing. Kinley is still at the beginning of her fight and has a way to go, but she's a strong girl and is determined to beat this nasty disease.

If you'd like to help out with a donation you can go here..
No amount is too small.
Beckie's friend Amy is participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Light The Night Walk in support of Kinley. If you'd like to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society you can do so here.

I'm considering doing a craft night where we'd make head bands that Kinley could take with her to the hospital and have to pass out to some of her friends who are fighting as well! I'll also be making a "Kinley" headband soon for in the shop, all proceeds will go to a cancer organization of Kinley's choice. If you're interested in coming to a craft night (if you're local or willing to drive!) or interested in purchasing a "Kinley" head band, let me know by commenting here or emailing me at Eisley Rae at gmail dot com.

Thank you so much for reading and please keep Kinley, her family and every other person out there who's fighting in your thoughts and prayers!! XOXO

#findAva

Can you imagine someone taking your baby? I can't and it breaks my heart to even think that there are mother's out there who are living with that reality.

Ava's "non-custodial" father is believed to have joined a cult that believes the rapture is coming this Saturday and so he and his new wife have taken off to Canada with little Ava. The 3 left Phelan, CA and headed North; and were last seen in Pendleton, Oregon. The family believes that Ava is in danger.
So very sad and so very scary!

So many people have asked why no Amber Alert has been issued... because Ava is with her biological (non-custodial) father, the authorities are not considering it kidnapping. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense seeing as Ava is believed to be in danger! Either way, everyone just wants Ava back home, safe. So please, please take the time to share on facebook, tweet, blog and spread the info by word of mouth to help us out! Thanks!

Wishing for Wednesday

This weeks Wishing for Wednesday is for the little lady in my life, Brookelyn. Summer is fast approaching (especially here where it's usually in the 90's by now) and my girl has outgrown most of her clothes. I've been pinning things for her like crazy on Pinterest, of course. Some of them, I'm going to try to make on my own and I can't wait to share all of them with you!

Red & blue dress from boden.com is PERFECT for her to wear for her little brother's birthday party next month. It matches the party colors and I'm all about coordinating! This is one that I might attempt making on my own, but with my own twist on it.

My girl LOVES this hat from Gapkids.com. It'll be a much needed accessory, especially with how hot it gets here in the summer.

This dress from jcrew.com is precious. The ruffles, the bow.. I love everything about it. But, I'm not spending so much on a dress for my growing girl, so I'm going to try this one on my own. I plan to use lots of different colors of ruffles to make it a bright, fun summer dress!

Brookey & I are both so excited to get our first pair of Toms Shoes. She picked these out and I think they're adorable. Great for riding bikes and running around with her friends in the summer! (And, she loves the thought that when we buy these, a child in need of shoes will also get a pair of new shoes!)

Shameless plug? Maybe. But, I seriously think that every little girl needs a pair of Eisley Rae Lily Pants for summer. They're adorable and go with everything!

And lastly, some of our favorite sandals. It's been a couple of years since Brookelyn has had a pair of Saltwater Sandals, but this year she wants these! How sweet are they?
Thanks for looking and if you're interested in a pair of Lily Pants for your little girl, use the code WFW10 for 10% off your first pair!

Today my friend Andrea, from Bubblewrapped is linking up with me! Go show her some love and see what she's wishing for! (Andrea makes some super cute things that will be featured here next week!)

100 Things About Me: Final 25, Part 4.

Are you ready for 25 more? Don't worry, these are the last ones. It's actually been harder than I ever expected to come up with 100 things about myself. Thanks for following along, and thanks to Stephanie for the idea.

76. I am in the oldest of the 10 cousins on my moms side of the family.

77. One night in Florence, Italy I fell twice w/in 2 minutes on the Ponte Vecchio. Lots of people saw me, it was embarrassing. And no, I was not drunk!

78. I'll take gifts in the form of Iced Green Tea from Cheesecake Factory anytime. Delish.

79. I'm dying for a Gussy Sews Market Tote.

80. I sleep on the right side of the bed.

81. Summer is soon, that means pedicures every 2 weeks season is coming!

82. I've never seen Waynes World or Jurassic Park. People are always shocked when I tell them that.

83. Seventh grade year I chopped my hair of short, like.. boy short. Yuck. It was ugly.

84. Even when it's cold, I keep a window cracked. I HAVE to have a little bit of fresh air.

85. I was never a gadget junkie until I got my first laptop, then iPod, then iPhone.. now I'm really wanting an iPad.

86. I had epidurals for the birth of both kids.

87. I shave my forearms. Can't stand hair.

88. Dr.Phil is my favorite!! I love him.

89. I used to have a Ford F150 and I really miss it. Having a big truck was fun.

90. I hope to one day own a home that has a wrap around porch.

91. My hands are always, always col.

92. Once we move, I want a big garden with tons of fruit and veggies!

93. I'm on Day 11 of my Shellac manicure and it's still perfect! Officially addicted.

94. Have I mentioned that I love Sephora?

95. I'd love to be up at 6:30 am every day, to get an early start to my day. However, I can NOT get up that early. Ever. I try!

96. I LOVE my friends and happen to have the best ones EVER!!

97. I could snuggle with my kids all day. Their both so sweet and cuddly (usually!).

98. I have tons of scrapbooking supplies and yet I've not used any of them in over 2 years.

99. My husband dusts!!! How lucky am I?

100. One of my all time favorite songs is "Anything" by DramaRama.

There you have it... 100 Things About Me! I hope you've enjoyed this little series.

Thirty-One Lovelies!

Want to win an adorable Zipper Pouch?! Read on to find out how.

My sister, Caryn is a Thirty-One Gifts consultant and is trying to reach a BIG goal! She's going to a Thirty-One conference in Ohio this summer and is trying hard this month to sell enough that the price of the conference will be free to her! So, being the good sister that I am, I offered to host an online party.

I LOVE Thirty-One Gifts. If you've never heard of or seen the stuff, it's pretty amazing. Gorgeous colors & prints, STURDY, well made and perfect for ever day use. I have so many pieces and love them all and use them all.the.time! Thirty-One's monthly specials are always super good deals!

May's Special: Spend $31 and get a Mini Zipper Pouch for only $2.31!
(normal price is $10) That's an awesome deal!

Here is my Large Utility Tote. Let me tell you, this thing is awesome. It's HUGE and holds a ton of stuff. There is a wire in the top of it, so it's extra sturdy. This one holds all of my "in use" fabrics, don't mind the mess!

Our family Thermal Tote. We use this whenever we go somewhere and won't be home for a while. It easily holds a few water bottles, and a lots of snacks. Perfect for day trips to Disneyland or just a picnic at the park! And, I love that you can have anything from Thirty-One monogrammed.

This is brand new! I just got it last week and love it. It's a Zipper Pouch that I'm using in my purse. Fits perfectly in my purse and helps keep me organized. And the print is adorable!
(Sorry, couldn't get the pic to rotate)

Hanging on my crafting shelf is the Littles Carry-All Caddy and an Organizing Utility Tote. These are both seriously sooo handy! I keep all of my scissors, rotary blade, needles, pens, pencils, pads of paper in there and then in the mesh pocket are some of my business cards. It's great to be able to grab this and move from one place to another with everything I need, if I have to. The Organizing Utility Tote has all of my fabric scraps, glue gun and other stuff that I need for making hair clips and head bands. I LOVE that I can just grab this bag and go whenever my friends are getting together for a crafty night. It's also got pockets all around the outside and mesh pockets at the ends!

This is my daughters Mini Zipper Pouch (the one you can get for just $2.31 if you spend $31)! How adorable is that? It's got her initials on it and she uses it whenever she goes somewhere overnight. It easily holds her toothbrush, toothpaste, hair pretties, medication, etc. I could probably use it as a small makeup bag even. The size is perfect!

This bag, I LOVE!! Isn't it fun? It's the Retro Metro Bag. It'd be GREAT as a diaper bag, purse or just a tote bag. My sister says it's 'huge', but to me it's just big. I prefer bigger bags though. Easily one of those bags you can use for a purse/diaper bag because of all of the room.

That's not all I have, but I won't bombard you with pics of everything. We've also got another Large Utility Tote, a couple of other Utility Organizers, an owl Zipper Pouch that is Cohen's, a Square tote that we keep in the car w/extra diapers, wipes, water, towel, etc. And even with all of that, there is SO much more I want to buy. I'm an organization freak and this stuff helps me keep organized AND the prints are all so colorful and cute!

Now, you can win your own Zipper Pouch.
Here's how to enter (please leave 1 comment for each thing you do.)....
1. Follow this blog through Google Friend Connect.

2. "Like" Eisley Rae on Facebook!

Friday Favorites via Pinterest!

I’m still loving Pinterest and actually, it’s been extremely helpful in planning
Cohen’s 3rd birthday party.
Today I’m linking up with my friend Johnna to do a “For the Home” Pinterest post.

We’ve been dying to move out of CA for years and are hoping to VERY soon. Just waiting on a job offer for the hubs in Milwaukee and then we’re outta here. So, I love compiling all of these ideas for our new home.. The one we move into when we finally do move.

Sunshine and aqua, two of my favorites make for a beautiful entry way.

Big fluffy pillows, grey and mustard.. A family room cannot be cozier than that!

How sweet is this mantle? Perfect for my family room.

A reminder, just to make me smile right in our family room.

A kitchen made for entertaining. And do you see that turquoise built in? GORGEOUS!

Not sure I’d ever want to leave this living room. Everything about it screams comfort to me.

Loving the simplicity of this room for my little boy. It seems as though it’d grow with him.

For my little girl, I couldn’t pick just one room so here are both that I love. I’m going to work on combining these rooms into one for her! She LOVES to read too. Perfect.

Must make this to hang in the girls room. Adorable.

A playroom that can grow with the kids. Perfection.

With this room, I would promise to never complain about laundry again!

Guest bathroom? Yes, please! Lovely.

Only thing missing is some ruffles and fresh flowers. Ideal master.

Love how open and bright this bathroom is.

Dream craft room!

This dry erase board will have a lovely spot in my home.

Lots of BBQ’s and dinners to be had out here for sure! Fun & cozy.

Fresh veggies anyone?

All posts via pinterest.com! I hope that one day these will be my reality. Gorgeous things.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Be sure to check out my friend Johnna's post too!
