Ch ch Changes..

So, y'all might have noticed when we unveiled the blog makeover a few months ago that we dropped the "clothing" in Eisley Rae Clothing. At the time, I was planning to add more home decor and accessories to the shop.

Over the past couple of months I've been doing a LOT of thinking.
Thinking about what makes me happy
what is good for my family
what stresses me out the most
       what I enjoy doing
and what I don't enjoy doing.

I've thought about my time and how valuable it is,
especially my time with my family and my KIDS.

After all of this thinking, talking with my husband and some friends, I've decided that there will be some changes around here. Starting on January 1st, because what day would be better to start fresh?

The "clothing" will stay gone. I'm not quite sure what will happen with the shop. Keeping it open is something I'd love to do. Maybe throwing in some vintage goodies that I find, holiday decor, party decor? I'm not sure.

And really, I'm not worried about it. The shop will always be there, but my kids? They won't always be little.

Ever since opening my shop, my husband and I had talked about the fact that if the day ever came that I wasn't enjoying it anymore, I HAD to stop. For myself and for my family.
That time has come. You won't see kids clothes and sometimes, you might not see anything. Once everything that's in there is gone (go shop, things are CHEAP), that's it.

I have goals this year, for me, my family and for this sweet little blog. I want to get to know my readers, reach a larger audience, partner up with some other amazing ladies in the blog world and share with you what is on my heart and on my mind.

Wishing you the Happiest & Healthiest of Years!
XOXO

InstaFriday

I'm back.. I really missed doing InstaFriday last week. But, we were just far too busy prepping for Christmas. So, this week you're getting a HUGE Insta dump! Enjoy!
And, go link up with Jeannette.
our tree. not nearly enough lights. we bought new lights this year and totally underestimated how many we'd need. oh well, I still love it.

my boys brought me breakfast in bed one morning. totally random and so thoughtful. cocktails at our annual girls christmas ornament party!

a little christmas cheer on our chalkboard door.

the stockings were hung..

so thankful that both kids still fully believe in the magic of christmas! and, that Cohen didn't flip out this year!

we celebrated during the week with my sister & her family at my moms house. after dinner & gifts we took the kids to "clark court" where ALL of the houses are lit up. beautiful.

my very favorite ornament. though this picture does it no justice. it's really so sparkly and gorgeous. it was a wedding gift from my "2nd mom", to remind me of my mountain hometown.

not the screen you want to see 2 days before christmas on your camera. she's dead until I send her into Nikon. sad, sad day.

we baked cookies and had friends over for games, food & drinks. great time!

lots of gifts, all wrapped up. my childhood stocking. love.

this was supposed to be so much cooler & taken w/my dslr, not my camera phone. but it'll have to do.

santa's been here!

a little bit of our christmas morning.

homemade cinnamon rolls & a new anthro butter dish? yes please.

lots of playing with new toys, fighting, loving on each other and sleeping are happening here.

Btw.. Eisley Rae has a new facebook page! Do you "like" it?

A Very Merry Christmas Eve!

I'm a little late.. but, I truly hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

On Christmas Eve we celebrate with my dad and my Grandma, at my Grandma's house.
I love that my dad still fills our stockings. They've always been one of my favorite things to open. See those stockings that say "Caryn" & "Alyson"? The ones that are knit w/Santa on them? My sister and I have had those since we were born. Love them. And, they stretch & stretch!

My sweet girl, waiting patiently to open gifts.

Both kiddos, loving one another.

 My Grandma & Cohen.

A little bit excited that she got an e-reader. Just a tad.

All of us with my lovely Grandma.

Matching Christmas PJ's. It's a Christmas Eve tradition!

Cookies & Milk for Santa.

Carrots & Oatmeal for the reindeer.

Our day was awesome. Earlier in the week we spent time with my sister & her family at my moms. We were bummed to not get to spend time with them & my dad, but my sister is a nurse and had to work on Christmas day...  Pictures from Christmas day will come later this week!

Hope everyone is recovering from the craziness of the holiday!
