Hello to the Weekend!

last weekend was pure craziness with cohen's party, father's day & my sister and her family being in town. but, it was fun. every minute of it. 

this girl is officially a 4th grader now! so proud of her & her straight A's.

i made this fun chalkboard picture frame for brookelyn's teacher. i'm told that she loved it! 

i can't wait to make one for us now. 

somebody was super excited to get mail, on his birthday nonetheless!

friday night we celebrated cohen's 4th birthday and my step-dad steve's birthday

 with swimming, cousins and yummy cupcakes!

yup, we bought the boy a skateboard. he's been asking for one since christmas. so far, he loves it. 

crossing our fingers that he's got some kind of coordination. 

oh, and isn't he THE cutest? ;)

...and, he got a big boy bike for his birthday! 

he was SO proud that he could ride it and was going SO FAST!.. as he said!

monday morning was a happy mail morning! we neglected to get the mail all weekend & i had lots of fun goodies waiting for me from creme de la gems, groopdealz & postalpix.

lots of thought is going into the new blog name & design. lately i've been doodling a lot.

love these silly kids! tuesday while we were home hanging out they put on a little concert for me. 

so fun!

wednesdays Cohen has school, so I'm usually home all alone. to be honest, i was bummed when school got out because i knew that for these 3 months i'd lost my wednesdays alone. until yesterday.. my first wednesday alone WITH Brookelyn. it was a FABULOUS day. we went thrifting and hung out watching movies, snuggling & chatting all afternoon. we even went to sonic for half price milkshakes in the afternoon. i'm now so excited for every wednesday with brookelyn!

and while we were enjoying our milkshakes, this amazing little lady said to me,  "mama, can we go buy me a bible? grandpa gave me money for my straight A's and i want to buy my own bible with it."

thud.. seriously, i'm lucky i didn't crash the car! my eyes welled up with tears as i proudly told her that YES, we can absolutely go buy her a bible. and, the fact that she wanted to buy it with her own money made me even more proud.  we have been so incredibly blessed with this sweet girl. she is SO proud and was so excited that i gave her the extra money to have her name put on the bible. love her.

today it was HOT out. and when it's hot (which is all summer long around here), we throw on our suits and go to grandma's for some swimming. these kids LOVE the pool! 

this evening after brookelyn left for a (26 mile) bike ride with grandpa steve, i looked over to see my 2 guys snuggled up on the couch. luckily cohen was the only one in his unders. haha love them so much. and, i love cohen's hair right now. it's a bit longer than we've kept it all year and a bit curly. such a handsome boy.
