last friday i spent the evening at one of my bff's houses. teri, beckie, kristin and i had a great time chatting & just hanging out. isn't that pallet wine/beer bottle rack on her wall awesome?! they didn't even have to do anything other than stain the pallet and hang it. 

sometimes i love driving with the stereo up and the sun roof down. especially if it's at night and i'm all alone.

even if it IS 2am. i haven't been out that late in a long time.

this precious little 3" hoop has been a favorite this past week.

my baby-turned-big-boy. matt had been begging me to cut cohen's hair, but i was loving it a little longer. and then, cohen started asking for a cut because he hot.. i couldn't blame the poor kid.

he just looks so grown up to me now though, with it short!

the other night while trying to get blog stuff done, matt went out and got frozen yogurt for us. lots of fruit & some bits of cheesecake.. he knows just what i like!

we spent an afternoon at my grandma's last weekend and it rained. the kids & i stood out in it until we were pretty wet. so nice to get some rain in this DRY desert. did you know that our average rain fall per YEAR is only 7 inches! crazy ha? 

"i am the pirate king!" -he says. have you ever seen, the pirate movie? it was one of my favorite movies as a kid. so much so, that i completely wore the vhs tape out! this week i introduced my kids to it & they LOVE it now too. poor matt, he hates it.

i had to replace a custom order this week that was lost in the mail. thanks usps.. that's 3 times in like 3 months now! is this happening to anyone else? but, i'm in love with the finished product. so thankful that kelley was understanding AND that she let me try a little something new! 

state prints are all the rage right now, but i've been wanting to add a state hoop to one of our gallery walls. so, i came up with this one! i kind of love it and it'll come with us to wisconsin (whenever that day comes) to remind us of our home state.

a much needed beer, after a long, stressful day of exciting news and the beginning of a week long that will surely feel like a year wait. what's your fav summer beer?

i finally started reading Sara Daniell's second book, Glimpse. i'm only a few pages in, but it's got my attention for sure! 

today during quiet time in our house i got to do some stitching, thanks to finishing housework early. love days like that. texas... isn't it cute? i'm anxious to get to work on the other 48 states!
